Senior Frontend Developer at Vue School (full-time)

The position

We are seeking a talented and experienced senior frontend developer to join our team. In this role, you will work on all our projects, implementing new features and optimizing existing codebases. The tasks include working on existing legacy codebases that run on Vue 2, Nuxt 2, and Vuex, and assisting in migrating these codebases to the latest Vue 3 and Nuxt 3. Additionally, you will work on new projects that utilize Vue 3, Composition API, Nuxt 3 SSR, and Pinia as their state management library. You will also be working on performance optimisations, ensuring our web apps excel at core web vitals, as well as owning our node configs, error monitoring, and bug fixing.

The position is 100% remote and you can apply from anywhere in the world, as long as you have availability to work full-time (8 hours), sharing around 4 hours with the office day of the CET timezone.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (English).
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience with the following or similar technologies:
    • Javascript
    • Vue.js 2 and 3
    • Nuxt 2 and 3
    • CSS (Tailwind)
    • Node
  • Experienced in TypeScript and Git.
  • Proven expertise in integrating REST APIs with web applications.
  • Proficiency in optimization techniques, from page load to SEO.
  • Strong habit of documenting and unit testing your work.
  • Ability to refactor and enhance existing codebases.
  • Collaborative mindset to effectively communicate with the team, from initial concept to implementation.
  • Experience working remotely.
  • Strong self-management skills to thrive in a remote work environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with GTM or similar tools.
  • Experience with integrating CRMs, like customer.io.
  • Experience managing Linux servers.
  • Experience with deployment process using Laravel Forge and Netlify.
  • Experience implementing markup from designs on Figma or Zeplin.
  • Experience working for e-learning platforms.
  • Holding an official Vue.js certificate.
