Now that we have the actual site build done, I thought it'd be nice to end up the course by taking a look at several of the features that we haven't covered yet in Storyblock. By no means is this comprehensive for all the rest of the things you can do, but they're just a couple things that I thought were interesting to note. First is that you can enable workflow stages for your different stories. That is, you could say it's currently being drafted, or you could send it to review, if you have some kind of reviewing process, and then finally mark it as ready to publish.
That way everybody else on the team knows that it's good to go. We've also got this really cool responsive view tool where we can see what the site will look like on desktop, tablet, and even on mobile. This way our content editors can make sure it looks good on all devices. Up here in the middle with this little chat looking icon, You can see that we can have discussions around our stories as well.
You can do this by leaving comments on specific blogs of your stories. So let's say that I wanted to talk about the heading in our hero with other content editors. I could come to the start a discussion button here and then write some kind of comment for this. Maybe something like, should we include my last name?
And then you could even target someone to notify with the at symbol, just like you're probably used to in your other applications. Cool. Now, at the top of the screen, we've got an indicator that a new comment is available and needs to be addressed. The last thing that I want to show you is called the app directory.
Inside of the app directory are a number of different plugins that we can use to extend the core functionality of StoryBlock. We could do things like create automated tasks that execute a webhook or a lambda function. You could track all the changes of space activities. You could enable clipboard history for easy copying.
There's an autosave plugin here so that you can automatically save your changes while editing content. And the list goes on and on here. Pretty neat. I encourage you, even after this course is complete, Continue clicking around in StoryBlock and you'll find some other cool features that will help you manage your website.
